Pursuit of Love (Emily Mortimer) (DVD)
Lily James, Emily Beecham and Dominic West star in this British miniseries based on the novel by Nancy Mitford, directed by Emily Mortimer. Set in the 1920s, Linda Radlett James grows up at Alconleigh Estate with best friend Fanny Beecham surrounded by wealth and opulence and with a burning desire to find true love. Whereas Linda acts on her passion with abandon Fanny is much more considerate about the consequences of choosing a romantic partner. However, for all of Linda's yearning to embrace a bohemian lifestyle she struggles to break free from the confines of her strict disciplinarian father, Matthew West. The cast also features Andrew Scott and Dolly Wells.
Dinotopia (David Winning;Marco Brambilla;) (DVD)
The complete TV mini-series based on the children's books by James Gurney. Washed ashore on an unknown island, Karl and David Scott begin looking for their missing father and instead find a civilization known as Dinotopia in which human beings co-exist alongside dinosaurs. As they explore this strange new world, Karl and David make friends with Zippo, a Stenonychosaurus who speaks fluent English, and Marion, a young woman who is destined to become a leader of Dinotopian society, and also soon find that they have a vital role to play in the island's fight for its future.

BBC miniseries depicting the lives of soldiers on the battlefields of the First World War. The series follows the Fourth Battalion, Royal Fusiliers, as they engage the German Army in the Belgian city of Mons on the first day of combat, the 18th Battalion from Manchester who battle the Germans at the Somme and a crew of tank fighters who prepare for the Battle of Amiens. The episodes are 'First Day', 'Pals' and 'War Machine'.
From Time to Time (Julian Fellowes) (DVD)
Fantasy drama which sees a young evacuee stumbling into another time after he is sent to stay in the countryside. 13-year-old Tolly Alex Etel is sent to stay with his grandmother Maggie Smith, but after discovering his ancestors' spirits are still very much alive in the heart of the home, he is pulled back in time with them to the midst of the Napoleonic wars. There, he discovers all sorts of family secrets of the past and present, and begins to learn the true importance that his family holds. The supporting cast includes Dominic West and Timothy Spall.

The film follows Sheriff Wallace Wilson as he presides over the running of a small American town on the Mexican border. While he investigates a botched drug deal, Wallace teams up with his disgraced predecessor Sheriff Leland McShane to take on the area's powerful drug cartels but find themselves in a dangerous battle for control of the volatile town.

Despite their honourable intentions, long-suppressed resentments and hostilities soon flare up both between and within the couples, leading to a rapid deterioration in civilities.

After winning six awards at the 2010 BAFTAs, the film went on to win another six at the Oscars, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.
