Tsui Hark directs this action drama set during the Tang Dynasty in a universe plagued by evil sorcerers and magic warriors. As army deserter Dik Ming kei Yuen Biao crosses the mountain of Zu he finds himself under pursuit from vampires and finds refuge with Master Ding Yan Adam Cheng. Dik Ming becomes his pupil and the pair take on the much-feared Blood Devil. As their endeavour begins they rely on help from allies but most importantly they must recover the Dual Swords in order to defeat the deadly foe.

Double bill of martial arts action dramas directed by Sammo Hung. In 'Warriors Two' 1978 cashier Hua Casanova Wong overhears a group plotting to commit a murder in an attempt at taking over the town, and quickly warns others nearby. Not knowing that the person he has warned is actually involved in the plot, the group then make an attempt on Hua's life. Managing to escape and go into hiding, Hua then learns kung fu from local doctor and Wing Chun master Mr. Tsan Bryan Leung, and with the group still on his case, Hua and his friends must use their Wing Chun style of fighting to battle it out with the group. In 'The Prodigal Son' 1981 Yuen Biao as Leung Chang, a tardy kung fu student from a wealthy family. Leung Chang puts little effort into his studies but still continues to beat his opponents as his father always pays them to take a fall. Leung Chang is ashamed when he finds about this and pledges to make a fresh start by asking a true kung fu master to take him on as a student.
